Digitalisation & digital transformation

Digital transformation is the work of changing how an organisation runs — its processes, technology and operating model — so it can keep pace and keep improving. Digitalisation is the practical technology change inside that shift.

Strategys supplies the senior transformation and delivery leads who make it real — as a project team or embedded in yours — turning digital strategy into working change, delivered in increments.

Who it's for

Change that has to work while the business runs

The organisations that most need transformation done well are the ones that cannot stop to do it — regulated, public-facing, operationally critical. That is where we focus: change delivered in increments, so value lands early and the business keeps running throughout.

  • Financial services

Banks and insurers digitalising core processes and customer journeys while staying inside tight regulatory and operational-resilience constraints.

  • Public sector

Institutions modernising services and case-handling on open, auditable foundations, with change that citizens and caseworkers can actually use.

  • Industry & life sciences

Manufacturers and life-science companies digitalising operations and data so decisions are faster and better evidenced.

How we work

Outcomes first, delivered in increments

We start from the business case and deliver in small working steps, so value shows up early and any correction is cheap. Where the change is data-driven or run through a delivery structure, we draw on our data and Databricks and PMO and delivery practices to make it land.

  1. Set the direction and the case

Agree what the transformation is for in business terms — the outcomes, the value and the constraints — so effort goes where it changes the numbers, not where it looks modern.

  2. Map the processes and data

Understand how work and information actually flow today, and where the friction, duplication and risk sit, so the design solves real problems rather than assumed ones.

  3. Prioritise and design

Sequence the change into a roadmap by value and risk, and design the target processes, technology and operating model — including the governance to run them.

  4. Deliver in increments

Deliver in small, working increments so value lands early and course-corrections are cheap, keeping the organisation running throughout rather than betting on a big-bang cut-over.

  5. Embed and measure

Make the change stick — adoption, ways of working, documentation and metrics — and hand over so the organisation owns the outcome, not a dependency on us.

Experience

Senior leads who have run real change

Every consultant we place is a senior specialist who has led transformation in complex organisations. We work across financial services, life sciences, the public sector and manufacturing, with senior specialists who bring both Danish and international experience.

FAQ

Digitalisation — questions we get

What is the difference between digitalisation and digital transformation?

Digitalisation is using digital technology to improve how existing work is done. Digital transformation is broader — rethinking processes, the operating model and sometimes the business model so the organisation can keep changing. In practice they overlap, and we scope each engagement to what the outcome actually needs rather than to a label.

Why do digital transformation programmes fail, and how do you avoid it?

They usually fail because they chase technology instead of outcomes, try to change everything at once, or never get adopted. We start from the business case, deliver in small working increments so value lands early and risk stays contained, and treat adoption and ways of working as part of delivery — not an afterthought.

Who does Strategys put on a digitalisation programme?

Senior transformation, PMO and delivery leads who have run real change in complex organisations. Depending on the programme that can include transformation managers, PMO leads, project managers and, where the change is data-driven, data and AI specialists from our other practices.

How do you keep the organisation running during the change?

By delivering in increments rather than a big-bang cut-over. Each step is small enough to keep operations running and reversible enough to correct if something is wrong, which matters most in regulated and public-sector settings where downtime is not an option.

How does digitalisation relate to your data, AI and PMO practices?

Most transformations rest on data and are run through a delivery structure. So a digitalisation programme often draws on our data and Databricks and AI practices for the technology, and our PMO and delivery practice for the governance and execution. We assemble the right mix for the outcome rather than selling a single track.

Can Strategys work as embedded specialists or as a project team?

Both. We supply senior consultants either embedded in your team as staff augmentation, or as a project team that owns delivery end to end, across Denmark and the Nordics in Danish, English, Arabic, Urdu and other European languages.
